John provides his clients with over two decades of transactional experience as an infrastructure banker, lawyer, and real estate investment advisor. John and his wife, Natalie, moved to Park City for (1) the abundance of world-class ski resorts and (2) the economic opportunity presented by the SLC international airport and Utah’s booming, diversified growth. That combination makes the Park City area a uniquely strong real estate market for second homes and investments. 
In the winter, John can be found skiing. In the spring and summer, he can be found cycling up a long climb on his road bike or enjoying the 400+ miles of trails on his mountain bike.  John is originally from South Carolina.  Between graduating from college in Charleston, SC and moving to Park City, John lived in Washington, Buenos Aires, Barcelona, NYC, Chicago, SF, Charlotte, Sydney, Madrid, Denver, and LA. He has spent substantial amounts of time doing business in Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and Argentina. He speaks Spanish and enjoys working with international clients.
John is passionate about improving the environment through the promotion of renewable energy and sustainable real estate. He is a member of the Park City Board Realtors Affordable Housing Committee. In addition to being a Realtor, John is an attorney (Law Office of J. Caldwell Guilds III PLLC) and a dually registered FINRA investment professional (Heriot-Guilds Private Capital & Investments LLC). He holds a JD from the Georgetown University Law Center (cum laude) and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business (honors).
